The Shin Shin Educational Foundation

 

Shin Shin Educational Foundation is a Bay Area based, non-profit organization that helps construct, remodel and rebuild primary schools in the remote, rural and indigent regions of China. 300 schools in 25 provinces or municipalities have been renovated so far. They are a strategic partner that we have worked with on several projects including school supplies, computers, and library books and equipment in locations throughout China.

We are fortunate to have the only two Rotary Clubs in China as our Host Sponsors allowing us to apply for Matching Grants from The Rotary Foundation.

 

 

Cupertino's International programs are most often supported by grants from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, enabling us to leverage our funds to provide increased services to those in need.

 

 

The Wheelchair Foundation

Sankara Eye Foundation and Rotary Club of Bangalore IT Corridor, India

 

 

The Wheelchair Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to deliver a wheelchair to every child, teen and adult in the world who needs one, but cannot afford one.  Cupertino Rotary has sponsored over 3,000 chairs worldwide.

 

 

Sankara Eye Foundation is a nonprofit org. with a mission of

-Vision 20/20 by the year 2020- to eradicate curable blindness in India. Rotary Clubs of Cupertino and Bangalore ITC concluded a matching grant for a 65 seat Bus for rural outreach Gift of Vision program operated out of the new Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore.

 

 

Half the Sky Foundation

International Rotary Tours

 

 

Half the Sky enriches the lives of children in China who wait to be adopted, and those who will spend their childhoods in orphanages. They establish early childhood education, personalized learning and infant nurture programs.

 

 

 

In 2009 Cupertino Rotary will sponsor tours to visit our projects in China, India, and Mexico.  You are invited to join us the next time we travel on a humanitarian project.

The Event contribution of $150 per person is tax deductible to the full extent of the law. You will receive information on the meal value with your donation confirmation.
