電腦計劃 Computer Lab Program

2005年及2006年欣欣與聯想電腦簽約，為97所學校 安裝了電腦設備及相關附件。2007年又為了33所學 校安裝了方正電腦。每位學校得到一台老師電腦、 十台或是五台學生電腦、印表機、交換機、加上專 人安裝服務。欣欣的目的是要為每一所學校的電腦 化，使老師學生們都會用電腦，並可以上網，可以 迅速的得到外界的訊息。電腦設備是最昂貴的後續 計劃，是否能達到目標完全靠我們募款的能力。這 些電腦設備也包括由捐款人捐給自己學校的，以及 扶輪社的資金。 Shin Shin recognizes the importance of the Internet and the advantage of using computers in order to have access to other areas of the world. Shin Shin started the endeavor of equipping all Shin Shin schools with computers. From 2005 to 2007, 130 schools received computers. They were funded by Shin Shin, individual donors for their own schools, and Rotary Club Matching Grant.

在2005 年的後續基金預算裡核准了十萬美元，給二十所欣欣學 校添置電腦設備。經過嚴格詳細的問卷， 基於學校的需要、用電腦的能力及老師的電 腦知識，基金會的後續基金審核小組選出了二十所學校。 另外再加上有捐款人指定的 六所學校，一共二十六所學校受惠。Shin Shin Educational Foundation allocated $100,000 from the general support follow-up fund o the Computer Lab Program. Twenty Shin Shin schools were selected based on the following criteria: 1) need assessment, 2) ability to house the computer lab, 3) ability to maintain the computer lab, 4) ability to use the computer lab effectively, and 5) teachers' knowledge and capability to teach computer-related curriculum. In addition, six schools were granted a computer lab program from the onor designated follow-up fund.
