漠泥溝鄉胡英祥欣欣小學原建於七十年代，學生全為少數民族，現有一至四年級四個班級，共學生二百一十四名， 五名教員。學校佔地3,000平方米，校舍310 平方米，其中校舍全屬安檢鑑定的D級危房。校舍重擴建後，可有教室八間， 辦公室六間，並成為六年制完全小學，有教師六人，學生六個班級，計二百七五十名。本校舍改建工程預算資金總額約 30.2萬元人民幣，工程已於2005年八月底完工。本改擴建工程的完工為少數民族教育的發展，打下堅實的基礎。 居民職業以農業為主，平均每年每人收入僅為780元人民幣，可支配收入為180元人民幣。 This school was built in the 1970's and the students are all minority people. There are merely 4 classes, from first through fourth grade, with 5 teachers and 214 students in total. The school area covers 3,000 square meters, and most of the 310 square meters of building area is classified as being in "dangerous condition" and should be rebuilt. The school renovation plan is to rebuild the old structure and transform it into six administrative rooms and eight regular classrooms to accommodate 275 students and 6 teachers. As a result, the school will become a complete elementary school with classes from grade one to grade six. The project is budgeted at 302,000 RMB, including the donation of $10,000 from Shin Shin Foundation. The construction work was completed at the end of August 2005. The primary income of the locals is from agricultural activities, and the average per capita income is 780RMB.

本校建於1946年，為一所五年制完全小學，現有一至五年級學生一百零五名。校舍佔地 2,700平方米。 校舍面積為285平方米，均為八十年代的建築，因年久失修，牆壁裂縫，屬"D"級危房。校舍重建後，將可有教室六間， 辦公室六間，並將成為六年制完全小學，有教師六人，學生六個班級計一百五十名。校舍改建除可服務村民約二千五百人外， 並將提供莘莘學子安全完善的讀書環境。本工程預算資金總額約十五萬元人民幣，預計於2005年八月底動工。居民收入以出 售洋芋及外出打工為主要來源。平均每年每人可支配收入為1,517元人民幣。 This school was built in 1946 with classes from first grade through fifth grade. Prior to the renovation project, there were only 5 classes with 5 teachers, and a total enrollment of 105 students. The school buildings were built in the 1980's and were marked as being in "dangerous condition" and must be rebuilt. The school renovation project plans to rebuild the old building and turn it into six administrative rooms and six regular classrooms to accommodate 150 students and six teachers. As a result, the school will be able to accommodate classes for first grade through sixth grade and serve 2,500 families, providing quality children's education. The project cost is estimated at 150,000 RMB, including the default donation of $10,000 from Shin Shin Foundation. The construction work started at the end of August 2005. The primary income of the locals is from growing potatoes and from out-of-town workers. The average per capita income is 1,517RMB.

#232 甘肅武威市古浪縣定寧鎮欣欣中心小學

定寧鎮欣欣中心小學位於定寧鎮政府所在地。現有一至六年級十個教學班，在校學生共五百一十名，教師二十二名。 學校校舍建築面積1,204平方米, 其中631平方米均為80年代修建, 2003年經鑑定為"D"級危房。校舍重建計劃完成後, 可有新建磚木教室四棟24間及宿辦室一棟16間。本工程預算資金總額約40.32萬元人民幣，工程計劃於2006年七月底完工。 居民平均每年每人收入為 1,450元人民幣, 可支配現金收入為800元人民幣。 This school is located at where the town government is. Currently, there are 6 classes (1-6 grade), 22 teachers， and 531 students. The building area is 1,204 square meters, and within which, 631 square meters are classified as "dangerous condition" that needs to be rebuilt. With Shin-Shin Foundation's financial support, the school rebuild plan will rebuild the old building and turn into 24 classrooms and 16 office and dormitory rooms. The project construction budget is about $403,200 RMB. The project is projecting to complete by end of July 2006. The average per capita income is at $1, 450RMB, with disposable income at $800 RMB.

坪庄實驗中學位於東鄉縣. 該縣是全國唯一以東鄉族為主體的少數民族自治縣.坪庄鄉內因無學校, 該鄉內10個行政村裡的適齡學童均需至5公里以外學校就讀. 因就學路途遙遠之故, 鄉內有將近400多名適齡學童因此失學或輟學. 本建校計劃預計新建一所九年制初級中學, 初期計劃興建綜合教學實驗樓一幢 (設6個教學班, 圖書室, 儀器室, 計算機室各一間), 教師宿舍10間, 師生廁所4間. 校舍完成後, 將可提供400多名失學或輟學學童鄉內學校就讀. 本校舍新建工程預算資金總額約68.76 萬元人民幣，除欣欣基金會補助之壹萬美元外, 其餘不足額由縣,鄉補助或其他項目補足。96.38%居民職業以農業為主, 平均每年每人 收入為1,058元人民幣, 可支配收入為700元人民幣。 This school is located in Dong Xiang county where the county is the only county consists primarily with Dong Xiang minority. There're 10 villages under the administration of county government. Since there's no school available inside of the village, many school children have to walk 5 kilo miles to school located in the county. Hence, 400 plus school children within this village are forced to stop schooling due to the distance difficulty. The proposal plans to build a new 9-Grade middle school that will include a multiple- usage teaching and laboratory building, dormitory rooms, and restroom classrooms. Upon the completion of this project, the school will benefit 400 plus school children to receive education without traveling long distance for schooling on daily basis. The project is budgeted at $687,000 RMB, including the donation of US$10,000.00 from Shin-Shin Foundation. The construction work has begun in July 2006. The primary income for the locals are from agricultural activities and the average per capita income is $1,058RMB, with disposable income at $700 RMB.

本校始建於1965年，學校佔地12,105平方米. 現有六個教學班,學生二百五十二名與職工12名。 校舍佔地1,500平方米, 均為七十年代的建築, 因年久失修, 牆壁裂縫, 校舍計1,182平方米屬"D"級危房。本項目計劃拆除四棟危樓, 在原址新建磚木結構教室二棟, 內設教室六間。 校舍改建除可服務村民約二千一百人外, 並將提供莘莘學子安全完善的讀書環境。 本工程預算資金總額約19.6萬元人民幣，預計於2006年六月動工。居民收入以農業為主要來源。平均每年每人可支配收入為600元人民幣。 This school was originally built in 1965. Currently the school area is 12,105 square meters and 1,500 square meters are of building area. The school has 6 classes with 252 students and 12 full-time staff. Due to lack of maintenance and aging on buildings, the 1,181 square meters of school building are marked as "dangerous condition" and must be rebuilt. The rebuilding project plans to rebuild six old buildings and turn into two new buildings with six classrooms to accommodate 285 students and 15 teachers and staff. As a result, the school will be able to serve 2,100 plus villagers for the need of elementary education. The project is projected at $196,000 RMB, including the default donation of US$10,000.00 from Shin-Shin Foundation. The construction work will start in June 2006. The primary income sources for the locals are from agricultural activities and the average per capita disposal income is at around $600RMB.
