廣西 Guangxi

2003-2007共興建、維修八所欣欣小學。Shin Shin rebuilt and remodeled eight schools in Guangxi from 2003 to 2007.

廣西壯族自治區位于中國南疆，簡稱桂，面積236660 平方公里，為壯族聚居地，此外，還有瑤，苗，侗， 麼佬，毛南，回，京，彝，水等民族。廣西南瀕北部 灣，東，西，北三面與貴州，湖南，廣東，雲南等省 相鄰，西南邊與越南接壤。全區地處低緯度，山地佔 總面積百分之六十，是中國喀斯特分布廣，發育典型 的地區之一。Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Administrative Region is located in southwestern China. It covers an area of 236,660 square kilometers. Guangxi is home to 14 million Zhuang (over 90% of its total population), one of the major minority ethnic groups in China, in addition to other minority ethnic groups that include Yao, Miao, Dong, Yao Lao, Mao Nan, Hui, Jing, Yi, and Shui. Guangxi borders Yunnan to the west, Guizhou to the north, Hunan to the northeast, and Guangdong to the southeast. It is also bound by Vietnam in the southwest and the Gulf of Tonkin in the south. Guangxi has an overall low altitude (in contrast to its neighbor Yunnan), and is 60% covered by mountainous Karst landscape.

Liuzhou, a less famous but just as beautiful city, is not far from Guilin. It too boasts a spectacular landscape and picturesque scenery. It has been the subject of beautiful poems and prose since the Tang dynasty when a famous poet wrote one of his most celebrated classics in Liuzhou. Guangxi is also famous for its folk songs. Guangxi is China's window to Southeast Asian countries; its capital Nanning has become an increasingly important center for cultural and economic exchanges.

二零零三年，欣欣基金會在廣西十萬山華僑林場建造 了第一所小學，二零零五年，第二座欣欣小學建在容 縣。二零零七年計劃在富川瑤族自治區，百色市東業 縣，玉林市興業縣，忻城縣，及三江侗族自治縣興建 五所小學，同年基金會義工會同當地僑辦工作人員赴 各校實地訪問，考察順利成行成功。所建欣欣小學均 獲後續基金，得以興建更新學校設備，添置教學用具 ，以及參加英與教師訓練。 Shin Shin Educational Foundation rebuilt its first elementary school in Guangxi in 2003 at Shi Wan Shan Hua Qiao tree farm. Our second school was built in Rong county. Five new schools will be constructed in 2007 in Guangxi in Fu-chuan county, Bai-se county, Yu-lin county, Qi-cheng county, and San-jiang county. All five to-be-constructed schools have been visited in June 2007. Shin Shin continues to support the existing Shin Shin schools through follow-up fund programs such as the general fund program for improving teaching conditions, scholarship program to support individual students to achieve secondary education, and English teacher training program. In the future, as more schools are constructed in Guangxi, they will also be strong contenders for the computer lab programs.
