海南 Hainan

2005興建、維修一所欣欣小學。Shin Shin rebuilt and remodeled one school in Hainan in 2005.

素有"天涯海角"之稱的海南省位于中國的最南端，包括 海南島、西沙群島、南沙群島、及中沙群島。海南島- 中國南海上的一顆明珠，是僅次于台灣的第二大島。海 南省面積340,000多平方公里，是中國陸地面積最小， 海洋面積最大的省，森林覆蓋率達51%。省會海口市， 居民為漢、黎、苗、回、壯等三十多民族。海南省是中 國的主要僑鄉之一，華僑，華人，及港澳台同胞主要僑 居泰國、馬來西亞、新加坡、印度尼西亞、越南、柬埔 寨、寮國等地。Hainan is located off the southern coast of the country. It consists of several islands, the largest of which is also called Hainan Island. Hainan has a tropical moist monsoon climate. Hainan Island is often called the gem of the South Sea; it is the second largest island after Taiwan. Hainan has the smallest land area among all provinces in China, but its vast ocean territory more than makes up for the relative scarcity in land, giving Hainan a total area of 340,000 square kilometers. About 51% of its land mass is covered by forests. Hainan is the home of more than 30 ethnic groups, including Han, Li, Miao, Hui, and Zhuang. Hainan is also the hometown of significant overseas Chinese populations in Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.

海南地處熱帶，長夏無冬。籃天白雲，椰樹搖曳，天邊 日出，海浪沙灘，白帆碧波，南風醺人，勝景傲人的海 南島不僅是人們的短期訪問地，且可為長日久居處。 二零零五年，欣欣基金會在海南省三亞市紅紗小學興建 廣恩欣欣教學樓一座，為當地的教育事業添磚加瓦，奉 獻了美國華人們的拳拳之心。 Hainan enjoys a warm tropical climate that resembles that of Hawaii: blue skies, white clouds, coconut trees, sunsets, beaches, sailboats, and waves decorate its beautiful landscape. The first building sponsored by Shin Shin Educational Foundation was erected in an elementary school in Sanya city, Hainan in 2005. It marked the beginning of Shin Shin's efforts to improve the education level and teaching conditions of local elementary schools.
