山東 Shandong

山東省南北長420公里，東西寬700餘公里，地處中國東部半 島，伸入渤海與黃海之間。東與朝鮮半島北與遼東半島相望 。結合華北地區和華東地區，為中國大陸東部各省南北交通 要道。四季分明，無嚴寒夏無酷暑。歷史上為齊魯之邦，故 簡稱魯。山東之名是因其位於太行山之東而得來的。是中國 人口第二大省，其中百分之九十九是漢族人。 山東總面積15.78萬平方千米，是中國的第十九位。山東是 工農業大省，對中國內地經濟頗有貢獻，著名的青島啤酒即 出於山東青島。山東因地利，受益於南韓及日本的外來資金 ，沿海地區富裕；相形之下，內陸區域即十分貧困。 山東自然風光秀麗，文物古蹟眾多，有世界自然文化遺產五 岳之尊泰山及世界文化遺產孔子故里曲阜。山東是中國古代 文化的發源地之一，也是古代文化的中心。中國最早甲骨文 出土於此。歷代思想家、教育家、政治家、 科學家，如:孔 子、孟子、王羲之、扁鵲、孫矉、李清照均為山東人。 Shandong is a coastal province of eastern China, abbreviated Lu, after the state of Lu existed here during the Spring and Autumn Period. Shandong's name literally means "mountain's east," which refers to the province's location east of Taihang Mountain. Shandong is the second most populous province of China, with 99% being Han ethnic Chinese. During the nineteenth century, China became increasingly exposed to Western influence, and Shandong, a coastal province, was especially affected. Qingdao was leased to Germany in 1887, thus the rest of Shandong was generally considered to be part of the German sphere of influence. Qingdao is the home of the well-known brand Tsingtao Beer. Shandong is one of the richer provinces of China, and its economic development focuses on large enterprises with well-known brand names. Shandong has also benefited from South Korean and Japanese investment, due to its geographical proximity to those countries. However, the extreme inland west of Shandong is much poorer than the rest of the province.

欣欣教育基金會於二零零二年開使到二零零七年於山東省共 建十六所學校。 二零零二年於煙台建校一所。 二零零三年東平縣和微山縣各一所。 二零零四年一所於高密市，兩所位於煙台，一所在鄒平縣。 二零零五年一所於東平縣和陽信縣一所。 二零零六年僅棗庄市一所，此學校為趙霄律師在山東省捐助 的第三所學校。 二零零七年兩所，微山市一所 (感謝山東省韓國華僑張恩恕 先生將捐贈學校地點由煙台轉到魯西，使欣欣建校理念得以 實踐，並嘉惠真正需要幫助的學子)。濰坊市的欣欣小學是 由一位張夢橋老先生親自參與規劃，造福家鄉教育，精神可 佩。 Shin Shin Educational Foundation rebuilt 16 schools in Shandong province from 2002 to 2007. The donations are primarily from overseas Chinese Americans who originally came from Shandong province. They wish to benefit the children of their hometown.
