雲南 Yunnan

1999-2004共興建、維修七所欣欣小學。Shin Shin rebuilt and remodeled seven schools in Yunnan from 1999 to 2004.

雲南省位于中國西南邊陲，簡稱滇。北與四川、西藏 兩省相連，東和貴州、廣西接壤，西南方向與越南、 寮國、緬甸為鄰。雲南省全省面積約394,000平方公里 ，是中國民族最多省份，少數民族約佔三分之一，除 漢族外，計有彝、白、哈尼、壯、傣、苗、僳僳、回 、拉祜、佤、納西、藏、景頗、布朗、普米、怒、阿 昌、蒙古、布依、獨龍等民族。按中國國家一九九四 年標準，雲南省有七十三個貧困縣。 雲南高原，阿詩瑪的家鄉，屬亞熱帶，緯度與海拔均 高，氣候帶交錯分佈。省內水力資源豐富，怒江、瀾 滄江、金沙江等六大水系的河流密佈，滇池、洱海、 瀘沽湖、湖泊多達四十餘個，加上四季如春，植物種 類繁多，素有"植物王國"之稱，為國家重點林區之一 。雲南省勝景遍布，位于西南端的西雙版納以神奇的 熱帶雨林自然景觀和少數民族風情而聞名，瀘沽湖邊 的母系社會堪稱人類社會發展的"活化石"，美國經典 電影"Lost Horizen"裡的人間天堂香格里拉即在雲南近 西藏邊。雲南密林中的神秘奇妙絢燦瑰麗，在民族風 味濃郁，色彩斑斕的雲南重彩畫裡可覓一斑。 Yunnan is the most southwestern province in China; the province has an area of 394,000 square kilometers, 4.1% of the nation's total. The province borders Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou Province in the east, Sichuan Province in the north, and Tibet Autonomous Region in the northwest. It shares a border of 4,060 kilometers with Myanmar in the west, Laos in the south, and Vietnam in the southeast. Yunnan has sufficient rainfall and many rivers and lakes. The annual water flow originating in the province is 200 cubic kilometers, three times that of the Yellow River. The rich water resources offer abundant hydro-energy, and have also turned the province into a fertile haven for rare species of plants and animals. Yunnan is noted for a very high level of ethnic diversity. It has the highest number of ethnic groups among all provinces and autonomous regions in China. Among the country's fifty-six recognized ethnic groups, twenty-five are found in Yunnan. The tribal communities near Lu-gu Lake have maintained a matriarchal society, which has been called living fossils of human society.

自一九九八年至二零零零年，欣欣基金會在雲南省的 牟定，姚安縣建立了兩所小學。二零零二年間，瀘西 、富民、賓川縣各獲一座欣欣小學。二零零三年，昭 通市威信縣獲建一欣欣小學。二零零四年，威信縣再 獲建一欣欣小學。所建欣欣小學均獲後續基金，得以 興建更新學校設備，添置教學用具，及參加英語教師 訓練，2007年兩所雲南小學更獲得電腦室計劃。 Shin Shin Educational Foundation started school construction projects in Yunnan since 1998. Construction projects in the first two elementary schools in Yunnan were finished in Mou-ding county and Yao-an county by 2000. In 2002, three schools were rebuilt in Lu-xi county, Fu-min County, and Bin-chuan county. In 2003, a new school was re-built in Wei-xin county of Shao-tong city. Another school was re-built in Wei-xin in 2004. All Shin Shin schools continue to receive support from Shin Shin through follow-up funds to further improve teaching conditions and to purchase more books and equipment. Selected schools from Yunnan have also participated in Shin Shin's English Teachers Training Program. In 2007, two schools in Yunnan were awarded the computer lab program.
